The Outdoor Special Interest Group (OSIG) trip on Friday 7 November was based locally in Sidmouth. A group of 13 of us met at the Hunters Moon Hotel on the edge of The Byes for coffee/tea/chocolate and shortbread. It was good to welcome new members to the OSIG group.
The forecast for the morning was not the best, so after much chatting and the obligatory group photo we moved outside in search of autumn colours among the trees and fallen leaves. There were also photo opportunities along the River Sid for slow shutter shots and reflections. Some of the group went further up the river and onward to Margaret’s Meadow with the occasional dogs playing in the river and for those lucky enough to see, there were sightings of a Kingfisher.
We regrouped back at Hunters Moon in time for lunch, bonhomie and departure before the rain finally caught up with us. A good time was had by all.
