Report by Anne Luther-Gandy, Trip Organiser

For our club's first Outdoor Special Interest Group (OSIG) trip of the season on Sunday 28th September, we met at Otterton Mill. After a chat over coffee, we were introduced to the workings of the historic water mill before separating to photograph diverse locations around the village and river. There was an exciting sighting of an osprey and various colourful insects adorning the hedgerows along the river path. The flowing waters of the weir with frolicking dogs and the picturesque Otterton church all provided numerous photo opportunities, as did the village itself with its thatched cottages.

We met up later, back at the mill, to exchange stories over a relaxed lunch in the sunshine.

All agreed, it had been a great day out.
