Dartmoor Photowalk
Report by Bob Reynolds, Trip Organiser
Widecombe Church - The Cathedral on the Moor - 16.40 hours...
Picture a lone figure, (me), head bowed, sitting forward on a worn smooth oak pew, whilst
colleagues around scour the building and churchyard for that winning image . . .
"Dear Lord thank you for our safe arrival at The Old Inn Widecombe, for the natural beauty of The Moor, for the warm sunny day made bearable by the westerly breeze, for giving us the strength to climb up to the summit of Rippon Tor, to walk the tramway to Haytor Quarry and to walk the ridge to the 10 Commandments Stone overlooking Buckland.
Thank you too for the bounteous food and drinks enjoyed at Ullacombe Farm and at The Old Inn, for the warm friendship appreciated by the 9 comrades on this day's outing, and for the joy obtained through our shared photography and from being members of Sidmouth Photographic Club."
