Report by Bob Reynolds, Trip Organiser
Nine Outdoor Special Interest Group members travelled into the city by bus on the afternoon of Thursday 4th December, where, upon arrival, they entered straightway into the Christmas spirit the city offered.
The lights, decorations, busy shops, kiosks selling a whole range of Christmas gifts, food and drinks, shoppers searching for presents, etc., presented a festive atmosphere, with many photographic opportunities enhanced by bright reflections in the wet pavements.

All too soon it was time for food and drinks and, more importantly, socialising, for dinner at Pizza Express - the group discussing the images they did or didn’t get! The restaurant offered a children’s menu so The club’s Chairperson joined the group, enjoying 3 courses to the others’ 1…
The banter continued on the bus home… the bus “wheels going round and round “, members wondering where the 6 plus hours since departing Sidmouth had gone.
Big thanks to Bob and Mike for organising this successful, Christmas-themed Extravaganza!
