Hello and a particular welcome to you if you’re interested in joining our photography club. I’m a new member, having only joined last year, and am delighted to help you find your way around the club as best I can.

My working and social life has been lead by a love of outdoor adventure activities both as an instructor and travel buff. Photography has always played an integral part in documenting trips through capturing the beauty of the great outdoors, the diversity of many countries, and the spirit of fellow adventurers and travellers. I was usually the ‘guy with the camera’ and the camera was usually ‘set on Auto’! It’s through recent years of retirement that I’ve developed a deeper interest in photography and - having relocated to Sidmouth - decide to join the local club in order to further my knowledge.

The SPC is a very welcoming group and caters for a wide range of interests and abilities. It’s a great place to make new friends and to pick up tips and ideas, discover new technologies and appreciate the incredible world of photography.
