Chairperson's Challenge -  “Now and Then”

"I would like members to find some old images, preferably older than 10 years, that could be replicated today. The further back, the better if possible. In other words as the phrase seems to be, go back and plant your tripod in the holes that were left all those years ago.

Present the two images to show the differences time has made. Also tell us a bit about the equipment used for both images, camera, film type, maybe something about the different techniques used.

This doesn’t have to be exotic locations, Sidmouth and East Devon will do equally as well.

If travel/landscape isn’t your genre, do the same with people.

Find an old family or friend's portrait that can be replicated. It can, and probably will be generational.

This has to be the same location or situation - not just a latter picture of people taken anywhere.

So, plenty of time to find some old photographs and research the location to make a current day

The more you can recreate, the better to fill an evening. Different locations are fine or a series if you have them."
