Sidmouth Photographic Club

Special Interest Groups
The Club hosts four Special Interest Groups (SIGs), all of which are open to any member to join at no additional fees other than the specific costs associated with the operation of the SIG such as room hire.
-
The Landscape and Outdoor Special Interest Group aims to encourage members in the art of outdoor photography by organising regular field trips throughout the year and by sharing of ideas and knowledge in a supportive and friendly environment. The group’s interest covers landscape, wildlife, nature and macro photography.
-
The Distinctions Special Interest Group helps members to obtain Licentiate and Associate distinctions from the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) – that is LRPS and ARPS. Members with knowledge and experience of these distinctions run workshops and provide guidance to members wishing to gain these distinctions for themselves, as a supplement to the formal RPS advisory system.
- The Critique Special Interest Group comprises small critique sub groups that meet at members’ homes, where members show their work in a friendly, non-competitive environment and receive feedback from others in the group. It’s also a great way to meet other Club Members and spend time discussing one of our favourite subjects. Members show either prints or digital work on any subject.
